To display the path variable, you need to delete the file and re-add it to the project.

As far as I can tell, all Setup Launchers created by InstallShield 6 and later are 32-bit. Starting with InstallSheild 5.5 a vendor could optionally use a 32-bit Setup Launcher. Note: Files that have already been added to projects created with earlier versions of InstallShield display the absolute path in the Link To column. All Setup Launchers (setup.exe) created by InstallShield 3 and InstallSheild 5.0 are 16-bit executables. If you move the project to another development machine, the path variables assure that you do not have to update the paths for your files. This provides more portability for your installation projects. When you add a file from a predefined folder, the Link To column in the Destination computer’s files pane displays a path variable, rather than an absolute path for most files. Tip: If you want to add an entire folder into a destination folder, drag the folder from the Source computer’s folders pane to the Destination computer’s folders pane.
